Build a route. Share a link.

With Coverground you build a complete walking or cycling route in the browser. Your visitors follow it step by step on their phone — no app to install. Coverground guides each visitor to the next stop, and shows your story and photos when they arrive. Share the route as its own link, or place it on your website.

Coverground also protects privacy, runs on European servers, and is accessible by default — more on that below.

Stop 2

Place a route on your own site

Every published route comes with a short piece of code. Copy it and paste it into a blog post, a club page or an online shop. Your visitors install nothing, and your site stays fast.

Your routes only appear on websites you approve. Add a website to your list and the route works there; on any other site, nothing loads. Below is a live example:

Building a route

Coverground turns your places and stories into the route.

What you do

  • Choose walking or cycling.
  • Place your stops on the map and name the route.
  • Add a short story and photos at each stop.

What Coverground does

  • Plans a step-free path between your stops.
  • Turns your route into a page that guides each visitor from stop to stop.
  • Gives you a link to share, and code to place the route on your own site.

Stop 4

How we built it

  • Private Your visitors' location and the direction they face stay on their own device. Coverground never sends this to a server.
  • European servers Coverground runs on servers in Europe. Your data stays under European rules.
  • Counting, not tracking We count how many people open your routes and how far they get. You get useful numbers; we never learn who your visitors are. No ads, no tracking cookies, no profiles.
  • Accessible Coverground plans every route so everyone can complete it. The route page has a step-by-step text view that works with a screen reader.

We believe this is the only good way to build guided routes. Coverground is still in beta, so some things are not finished yet. Tell us what could be better.
